Everybody knows that’s what it says, but you’re not supposed to say what it says.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America, founded in 1916 and based in New York, runs 900 health centers in 49 states and serves about 5 million people each year. It’s where I got my vasectomy. Planned Parenthood and doctor groups around the country have initiated suits against the law that prohibits intact dilation and extraction. The Justice Department has subpoenaed medical records from six Planned Parenthood sites as part of the government’s defense. Several hundred records were being sought from Planned Parenthood affiliates that serve western Pennsylvania; San Diego, California; Los Angeles, California; New York City; Kansas/Mid-Missouri; and the Washington metro area. Many of Planned Parenthood’s expert witnesses work at the six sites.
In other Planned Parenthood news, an anti-abortion group in Texas called for a boycott on Girl Scout Cookies after learning their local Girl Scout council participated with Planned Parenthood to participate in a program called “Nobody’s Fool.” Nobody’s Fool is an annual half-day conference for boys and girls in grades 5 through 9. It started in 1989 and attracts from between 4 and 7 hundred area children every year. Family life educators serve as instructors and participants are grouped by age and gender. It’s designed to provide young people with information about the changes of puberty, dating, peer pressure, sexually transmitted diseases and aids and pregnancy prevention. And it’s designed to foster communication between children and parents about sex. Abortion is not part of the curriculum. That Girl Scout group has since dropped ties with Planned Parenthood. Girl Scouts of the USA released a statement denying any ties to Planned Parenthood.
In other words, they’re a bunch of lazy bums!
John Shirley writes: “Remember those kids who were at Guantanamo, prisoners of the US military because they were taken in post-9/11 raids in Afghanistan? I was shocked to hear of their incarcerations. The youngest, Asadullah Rahman, spent 17 months a prisoner. Three young prisoners were released on Jan 29. Do you know what the irony is?” Click for the irony, baby.
Living well is the best revenge. Living sixty years longers than the thousand year reich is even better. Hats off to Stanislaw Ryniak, first inmate at Auschwitz, recently deceased at age 88.
And don’t forget to make your own CD cover for the Grey Album. Google, search me out some “grey album.”
On December 4, 2002, the Associated Press reported that State Governor Rick Perry of Texas said Texas’ laws punishing homosexual sodomy were “appropriate.” Texans John Geddes Lawrence and Tyron Garner were arrested in 1998 in Lawrence’s apartment, jailed overnight and later fined under Texas’ Homosexual Conduct Law. The convictions prevent the men from getting certain jobs and in some states require them to register as sex offenders.
Keep this in mind as you read about State Governor Rick Perry in the days to come.

The Cougars (a Portland-area high school basketball team) are number one in this week’s Class 2A coaches poll – go Cougers! But… why won’t we be seeing them in the Class 2A state basketball playoffs? Oh, that. The same thing that makes people starve in Kenya, hide child abuse in Ohio, pluck out a teenage boy’s eyes in Nigeria, trampel 244 people to death in Saudi Arabia… yeah, that.
The controversy surrounding dihydrogen monoxide has never been more widely debated, and the goal of this site is to provide an unbiased data clearinghouse and a forum for public discussion.
Invaluable resources on September 11th, 2001: The Memory Hole and Center for Cooperative Reserch (offering a minute-by-minute timeline). These are the sorts of things that need to be archived and kept offline. “Just in case.”
I have seen no evidence that the recent leak of Microsoft source code was deliberate. But consider for a moment how Microsoft might be able to benefit from this occurance. Keep in mind that not all leaks are accidental. Leaks can function in the same way a dye marker released into a liquid traces the flow of the liquid… if I drop my marker in this river, where does it go? Physicians use these sorts of chemical markers to increase the functionality of x-rays; the dyes show the flow of blood and other fluids through the body. A leak can be like a piece of flypaper: whether you pick it up or try and brush it away, you still get stuck.
If any of the leaked Microsoft source code ends up in a competing operating system then Microsoft will have a strong legal case against that competing operating system. Even if the Microsoft source code doesn’t show up in the competing operating system’s code, if a programmer is shown to have sought out or gained access to the Microsoft source code they may draw negative legal attention to their legitimate work. So – if you write code for a competing system, make sure you avoide the leaked Microsoft source code like the plague.
